Jeep tours at a glance

A jeep tour takes you through the park by road with a guide. It suits visitors who want to see the red rocks without walking far. Garden of the Gods is free to enter, so a tour pays for the guide, the vehicle and the route, not for access to the park.

The Visitor & Nature Center names Adventures Out West as its partner for vehicle tours. That is not a complete list of providers. This site is independent and has no link to the city, the Visitor & Nature Center or any tour operator. Prices are per person, in US dollars, as listed in 2026, and surcharges come on top.

What to expect

The points that most often decide whether a tour fits.

Stops and photos

Getting out of the jeep is not guaranteed on any route. The 1909 trolley, which costs $22 and takes 35 to 45 minutes, does not stop at all. If you want to walk among the rocks, plan a separate visit on the trails.

What the price covers

The listed price does not include the concession fee. The Garden & Glen route also needs Glen Eyrie admission. Read the total at checkout, because "from" prices are not final prices.

Accessibility

A lift jeep exists and needs a reservation in advance. The trolley is not ADA accessible. If you need a lift, book early and confirm the details with the provider.

Weather

Summer thunderstorms are possible, and July and August are the wettest months in Colorado Springs. When you hear thunder, go into a solid building or a fully closed vehicle. See the best time page.

The park rules still apply

The speed limit in the park is 20 mph (32 km/h). There is no camping or overnight stay, and the gates are locked at night. Park hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. from 1 May to 31 October and 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. from 1 November to 30 April.

If you drive yourself, the Garden Drive and Juniper Way loop is about 6 miles (9.7 km) long and hilly, with grades of up to 15 percent in places. The roads are one-way with paved bike lanes, and you should not stop in them. For all tour types side by side, see tours compared.

Jeep tours in Colorado Springs

What lies beyond the park.

Jeep routes from Colorado Springs can reach beyond the park. The Tunnels & Waterfall route is described as using Gold Camp Road and Helen Hunt Falls, and the Garden & Glen route adds Glen Eyrie. Pikes Peak is a separate trip with its own rules: the Cog Railway leaves from Manitou Springs, and the highway has a toll and a timed-entry rule from 22 May to 30 September 2026. See Pikes Peak for the details.
